Mayfield High School is a comprehensive high school offering students the opportunity to explore both academic and technical objectives. Our 2 x 4 block schedule is designed to meet the needs of a truly diverse student population.

All students at Mayfield declare a focus from thirteen career clusters including Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources; Architecture & Construction; Arts, A/V Technology & Communication; Business Management & Administration; Health Science; Hospitality & Tourism; Human Services; Information Technology; Law, Public Safety & Security; Manufacturing; Marketing, Sales & Service; Science, Technology, Engineering & Math; Transportation, Distribution & Logistics. Students, parents, and faculty then collaborate through the Career Advisement Program (CAPS) to schedule classes that will best equip them for college or the world of work.

High academic standards continue to be maintained while more school-to-work options are available.
The Advanced Placement program has experienced growth in enrollment over the past 10 years. Students may select from nine subject areas in this program. In addition, several courses are articulated with the Dona Ana Community College and New Mexico State University, which means students earn advanced placement at college.
